Sue Collins grew up on Waiheke Island, in the Hauraki Gulf and is now living in Mt Eden, Auckland.
Sue has continued to study different forms of art including bronze casting, sculpture and painting and has completed a Diploma in Graphic and Commercial Art.
Sue has painted throughout her life, and for a time studied Art with tutors Mathew Browne and Jane Zusters.
The natural environment and New Zealand coastline are a continual source of inspiration for Sue’s work. Abstract painting allows her imagination the freedom to develop ideas, finding parallels and making connections between our inner and outer worlds. The painting process for Sue is very satisfying, the contemplation and self-expression personally rewarding.
Examples of Sue’s work can be seen at Mobile Art Gallery, 23 Edwin Street, Mt Eden, Auckland.
