Adele Eagleson
Abstract Artist – Adele Eagleson
Adele Eagleson is a contemporary abstract artist who works primarily in oils.
For Eagleson to achieve painterly effects she does not limit herself to the brush, she implements a variety of tools and techniques, resulting in her desired outcome. Adele allows her paintings to evolve organically, stipulating points of interest on the canvas which anchors the viewer. Her use of colour, mark making, light and form presents these abstractions as a visual journey. Pausing momentarily in one place and swiftly moving to another.
Nature’s colours and elements are an influence for Eagleson. Just as the sound of the ocean helps calm the mind, so the soothing colours and movements in Eagleson’s work resonate peace.
Adele started exhibiting with established galleries throughout New Zealand in 2003 and has been invited to exhibit internationally. Her works are held in private collections in New Zealand and overseas.
Over recent years Adele has owned her own art gallery representing over 70 New Zealand artists. She has curated and participated in group art shows, fundraising events and is a founding member of ARTrove – an art co-operative.
