Daniëlla Hulme uses strong, bright colours and clearly delineated, stylised motifs which are reminiscent of Pacific Islands’ Tapa cloths, embodying the vibrant cultural heritage and visual traditions of the Pacific. She creates works that reflect her Dutch heritage and her husband's Samoan heritage, exploring themes of Pacific navigation, cultural differences, and identity.
