John Horner’s painterly style is inspired by the wild and stunning New Zealand landscape - its mountains and open spaces. He graduated from Elam School of Fine Arts in 1965 with honours in painting. He taught secondary school art until the early 80's and was a senior lecturer at Whitecliffe College of Art and Design until 2013. John is now retired to concentrate on painting.
His unique artistic vision and profound connection to his homeland shine through each brushstroke, making his work a compelling exploration of the beauty and essence of New Zealand.
