Julian Hindson was born in Yorkshire, England in 1973 Julian immigrated to New Zealand at the age of one year. Julian’s love of painting has grown from a young age and he now paints full-time, drawing on over 20 years of graphic design and art experience. His work is rapidly maturing and is in great demand.
Techniques
Julian’s prefers to use mixed media on canvas or board. Enjoying the interplay of colours and dynamic shapes in his work, he creates a dynamic aesthetic by working with light to create lush, saturated compositions that draw the viewer in.
Julian trained as a graphic designer in 1991 and has worked as a video editor, graphic designer, art director, web designer and furniture designer.
With a huge base of leased artworks, multiple exhibitions and work in collections throughout New Zealand, London and New York, his art is appreciating as quickly as it is being bought.
