Stephen Piper began his working life backstage in the theatres of London’s West End in both lighting design and stage management.

After much travelling, he eventually settled in New Zealand, and moved sideways into the film industry where he became an art director. At the same time, he picked up a camera and began working with local and international photographers.

This in turn led to a career as a Location Scout where he is able to indulge his two passions: photography and travelling.

In 2003, he took a year out to study and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma from Elam School of Fine Art.

He has exhibited work in 10 group shows and one solo exhibition.
